Someone has
actually been there.
A meal they enjoyed. A walk they would take again. A place they’d happily send a friend. Firsthand experience gives a recommendation its value.
The small details are part of the advice, too.
The friend who knows your taste. The local with a favorite corner.
The traveler who went there and still talks about it.
We believe their experience is the most valuable part of your next trip.
Here’s what we’re building on ↓

Think about the places you remember most from a trip. Often, someone put them on your radar. A friend sent a café. A colleague told you about a quiet street. Someone who lives there knew exactly where to go for dinner.
They gave you more than an address. They shared a little of their experience: what they loved, why it mattered, and what you might love too.
That’s the kind of knowledge we want every trip to start with.
Our mission is to help people turn recommendations from people they trust into trips they love.
So you can spend less of your time off researching places or taking chances on a spot that only looked good online — and more of it enjoying places someone can personally recommend.

Knowing who recommended a place helps you decide whether it’s for you. A friend who shares your taste, a local who knows the neighborhood, a traveler whose way of exploring feels familiar.
Their perspective helps you find your own kind of trip.
Your favorite places can become someone else’s favorite memories. When you put them on a map and share a few honest notes, your experience becomes a starting point for their adventure.
A great trip leaves something worth passing on.

A little local knowledge
goes a long way.
We’re building FlipTrip around advice people choose to share because they’ve been there and have something worth passing on.
We choose to build discovery around firsthand recommendations. We don’t use AI-generated place lists or Google rankings as the starting point. We start with a person: their visit, their taste, and their reasons for recommending a place.
We want a recommendation to earn your attention through someone’s experience. That principle guides how we think about discovery — including the suggestions you find in FlipTrip.
FlipTrip gives good recommendations a place to go.
Ask friends for their favorites with a simple link. Keep their tips and your own discoveries together on a map.
Choose the places that speak to you, arrange them into days, and build a route around what you want to experience.
Share a map of places you love. Let friends borrow your recommendations and make a trip of their own.
You don’t have to know every corner of a city to have something worth sharing. Maybe you live there. Maybe you spent one wonderful weekend there. If there’s a place you’d tell a friend about, that’s a good place to start.
